The string sextet was formed in 2009 by Maria Slawek, Anna Maria Staśkiewicz Katarzyna Budnik and Marcin Zdunik. It has been performing in its current line-up since 2013. The ensemble's artists are acclaimed soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral musicians and teachers affiliated with music schools in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Kraków and orchestras (Sinfonia Varsovia, NFM Orchestra). They have been performing together in various configurations for years, recording albums together and programming artistic events.
As a string sextet, they have performed at the National Philharmonic Hall, the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Łódź Philharmonic and the Kraków Philharmonic, as well as at the following festivals: Mozartiana in Gdańsk, the Bydgoszcz Music Festival, the J. Waldorff Summer Festival in Radziejowice and the Jewish Culture Festival in Kraków. Their concerts have been broadcast on Polish Radio 2. The artists' repertoire includes both the classical repertoire for sextet (Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Dohnanyi, Schoenberg, Panufnik) and original transcriptions: W.A.Mozart's Requiem in D minor (ar. Marcin Zdunik) and M. Wajnberg's Chamber Symphony No. 3 (ar. Maria Slawek). At the end of 2024, their recording of works by Mieczyslaw Wajnberg, Andrzej Panufnik and Roxanna Panufnik recorded under the Musical Trace programme subsidised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage will be released.
