American singer-songwriter Willy Mason is no newcomer – his first record Where the Humans Eat that successfully combined folk, blues and country was released in 2004. Tours with Death Cab for Cutie, Sondre Lerche or Ben Howard followed, as well as another two full-lengths, last being Carry On in 2012. Nine years later, he’s back with Already Dead, an intimate album recorded in his home, will be released in summer 2021 and adds new sound to Willy’s palette, such as early rock’n’roll or r’n’b, the lyrics explore honesty and deception or anonymity in the digital age.
